Episode Description : Born and raised in New York City, 25-Year-Old Shar Bell has found herself miles away from what she calls home. As thousands of non native residents settle into the Big Apple, she can’t help but to suggest that this new reality has caused the separation. New York City has always attracted newcomers, But to many natives as of late, it has felt like the transplant community has become a conflicting force to NYC culture. And it isn’t just NYC, “ Transplanting” has been a hot topic for many other urban cities/areas across the country. In this episode, we learn how “Transplant Culture ” has altered the lives and experiences for city natives like Shar.

As you read your group members’ posts and listen to their episodes, make notes about the following:

  • Are all the elements from the Interview Episode Checklist there? Do any still need to be created or included?
  • Does the intro get you interested in the topic? Does it make you want to keep listening?
  • What story unfolds through the interview? Are there any sections that detract from the story or feel extraneous?
  • What are your favorite elements or moments?
  • How is the sound quality?  Do any elements of sound distract you from the story? Do any elements of sound design really work to keep you engaged? Do you have any suggestions for the sound design or for improving sound quality?
  • Does the length feel right? Is it too long? Too short?

Title: Age of Influencers

One Liner: Arianna Arce’s Age of Influencers analyzes how the surge of social media influencers impacts our every day lives.

Blueprint: Age of Influencers is a podcast that provides insight on the impact and power social media influencers have in today’s day in age. It is for social media users who are interested in becoming influencers or simply understanding how they are so heavily influenced in their day-to-day lives by influencers. This project analyzes the difference between the period before social media was introduced vs. today.

I will be interviewing my cousin Jenny (this Thursday after class *officially*) who has had a large following ever since the MySpace days.

My questions for Jenny are:

Can she make a living off of influencing?

How many hours does it take her to film content?

Does she think its important to have a niche?

Does she think influencers are going to become less important as time goes on?

What tips does she have for people who want to grow a following right now?

How have things changed for her over the years, from being “MySpace famous” to having a huge following on Instagram?

How did her content catch Rihanna’s attention? (Who invited her backstage)

Does she see herself doing this forever?

What impact does she think influencers have on the rest of the population?

Do companies typically have a better ROI after working with her?

College Road Trip- *rough cut*

I had to separate the intro from the interview due to technical difficulties… rough cut

College Road Trip is a podcast that focuses on the experiences and hobbies of different college students throughout the country.  My goal from this podcast is to learn about the life of President elect of all Male Acapella group, “The Dear Abbeys” as the “Ambassador of Fun”, Ty Rena. We recorded this on our home from Boston after a fundraiser show, this episode would also highlight the importance of the charity. The target audience for this podcast is definitely other college students, especially those interested in particular clubs.
